For Courtney, the hijinks these witches get up to is more akin to casual sleepover type-things. Witches Be Crazy (Movie Recap, Practical Magic)

We are kicking off spooky season with one of our all time favs, the 1998 movie Practical Magic, staring Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock. We are relieved that the movie (which we adored as kids) has withstood the test of time, minus some interesting plot holes here and there. Still, there's plenty for us to laugh and wonder about. But Mommy I Love Him (Movie Recap, The Notebook)

For our 50th episode, we wanted to recap a movie everyone is sure to have seen OR purposefully avoided. The 2004 film adaptation of the Nicholas Spark novel The Notebook was the winner. While we have strong feelings on the author, the story itself was a jackpot for us. Red flags. Ryan Gosling. Drama. All the things we love. Naturally, hilarity ensued! It's a flip-the-script on men kind of day, perhaps, because this movie follows the true events of a group of strippers who finessed and drugged their way into millions of dollars by conning thirsty men. How far is too far when it comes to seeking revenge on the patriarchy? The law says grand larceny, and who are we to argue?

In what might be one of our shortest episodes to date, we must warn you about this expletive filled rant. In this episode, we recap the 2017 South African Romantic Drama, Catching Feelings, which stars Kagiso Lediga and Pearl Thusi. This the story of an insanely unlikable hero who girl bossed too closed to the sun. We didn't like him one bit, but were united in the common goal the tear him to shreds. Hope you enjoy!

Courtney strategically chose this movie hoping it would hit Rose right in the feels: Marines in dress blues, sunny California, deployments, and white boys with dark shadows in their eyes...did it work? Only Dead On The Inside (Movie Recap, Me Before You)

If you only listen to one of our episodes, let this be the one. Our recap of the 2016 movie Me Before You will sound a lot like an endorsement for therapy. One of us reveals to be probably missing a soul. But the other isn't so innocent either, because it's no coincidence that our rowdiest, most laugh-out-loud episodes tend to be recapping darker movies.
